Yahoo mails not showing in OSX mail

I have this issue for the first time with my new MacBook Pro: I configured the account correctly with SMTP servers. Mail only shows in the bottom left corner that it is downloading the mail, but the new messages are not displayed in the inbox. On my old MacBook and all iOS-devices, everything works perfect.

Since my old MacBook runs on El Capitan and the new one on Sierra, I downgraded to El Capitan - with the same result, as with High Sierra. I used each time a new configuration and not a time machine import.

Analysing with Connection Doctor show only that everything is okay - which it isn't.

I found a similar problem in a discussion about 10.5. Leopard, but no solution.

Any ideas?
