When Disk Utility creates a read
I noticed something recently when trying to create DMG files in Disk Utility on folders containing large amounts of data, such as on the order of 100-500 GB's. While Disk Utility creates the DMG file, there is a progress bar that moves from left to right. Then, when the progress bar hits the right side and everything seems to be FINISHED, all of a sudden the progress bar empties back to zero. Then, there is a very long wait before the bar goes back to the right.
I am wondering if this "resetting" of the progress bar actually indicates that Disk Utility just created the sparse image, then is converting that sparse image to a DMG?
