Help! I can’t control my iPhone from Appl...

I’m a fitness instructor and my last couple classes I’ve had to get up and run to my phone because I can’t choose what my phone is playing from my watch! I have the Apple Music app on my watch home screen so I can navigate as soon as I lift my wrist..now it no longer controls my Apple music on my phone but seems to have become some sort of a Bluetooth app. The Now Playing option only allows you to pause or skip a song, which a huge step down from getting to choose exactly what you want to play from all your music. I actually bought the Apple Watch because I wanted more control over what I played vs just the skip/pause on my old Fitbit blaze. Where is the switch from Bluetooth simply back to the phone?

It is no longer possible to select a playlist on your iPhone from your Apple Watch.
