Not backed up to ICLOUD

I had a 5. Dropped it for the last time last night and it died. I tried all the apple things to get it to work and nothing. Ordered a new phone today, 7 I believe. I never backed up the 5 to the cloud. just to my computer. Will there be a way to pull from my computer the info from my 5 and put on the new 7. Mainly want the contacts. Im but real computer savy. Anything will help
