iTunes browses through songs without reading them

I am running iTunes 12.6.2.20 on a macbook air under OsSierra (v10.12.5).

When I play an album from the cloud (not from my iTunes library), iTunes browses through all the songs successively without playing them. Is it linked to connection issue or to another issue in iTunes ?

This never happens to me on my professional MacBook Air (same versions of OS and ITunes), nor on my iPhone.

Yes, when streaming media if it cannot start playing a track within a reasonable period of time it will skip to the next without raising an error.
