Help importing iTunes

Need some help guys,

So I'm moving my music over from my old laptop to my new one, transferring them via dropbox and then adding the folder to my itunes library. But, when I click 'add folder to library', every single time it screws up some of the folders in iTunes. Putting random songs in albums they don't belong, labelling some as 'Unknown Album', forgetting the artwork and other song details and then lumping a number of albums together at the bottom of iTunes.

They seem to have put onto dropbox correctly, and transferred onto my new laptop correctly but every time it messes them up in the same way.

I could just edit the information myself, but any advice on what's going wrong would save a lot of time and be greatly appreciated!
