My 2017 MacBook Pro tried to kill itself last n...

I updated to High Sierra last weekend and everything has been working great until now.

I always just fold the laptop closed when I'm done using it and not shut down from the OSX. Yesterday the laptop was on my backpack the whole day and I wake up in the middle of the night when I hear a loud whirring sound from my backpack. My MacBook fans were blowing like crazy and the laptop was so hot that I was sure it was done. When I took it out of the bag the fans started to slowly run slower but the laptop would not turn on for minutes. After a while I noticed that it still did turn on and still worked.

Many people had this problem with some of the older MacBooks but I thought this was already history and not something you would have to worry about!

Also the classic bug with headphone jack is back that you have to unplug the headphone jack after every time the computer goes to sleep or it does not play the sound.

Anyone else experienced these issues, especially after upgrading to High Sierra?
