show a specific app

Can the Ipad allow me to setup Icon and use restrictions so my senior parents only get Facetime and one other app. And.. and if I develop an app for the Ipad, is there a way to make it be exclusive to that iPad with no other choices, other than restrictions or control with a separate password.  Is this possible or do you need to run a specific apple OS? Is there development software that allows this.

My goal is to have this app or feature on screen all the time so they only have one option. This a form of Parental control.. ha ha, and allow them to only have a few choices to keep them from going down a "rabbit trail"

I ask this because there are so many company specific Ipad related programs that keep the user in that program ONLY. I.E. in-store Verizon and even apple store employees who intake clients as they walk in the door.

Settings>General>Restrictions

You can disable apps or allow functionality.

For apps you don't want them to access, move them all into a grouped folder and name it no access or something.

You can use guided access, but that limits to just one app.
