Keyboard Playback Control

After upgrading to High Sierra, I noticed that my keyboard playback controls no longer corresponds to iTunes. It'll pause and rewind whatever Safari is playing instead, which is really annoying when I want to pause my music to hear YouTube or whatever I have loaded on Safari. Can this be changed back to iTunes?
