Finding serial # of stolen MBP, NOT synced to A...

So, my 2012 Macbook Pro was just stolen. I need to get the serial number to help track it down.

I hadn't upgraded or logged into it for a while, so it is unfortunately not synced to my AppleID.

It is, however, still listed under my Devices list in iTunes (Account > Manage Devices).

I keep reading in older discussion threads that I can hover over the device to see the serial number in iTunes, but I've tried that (on both a mac and a PC), and nothing comes up.

Is there any other way to view the serial numbers of associated devices in iTunes? I tried talking with Apple Support, but they were supremely unhelpful.

Thanks!

Find the serial number or IMEI on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

If you don't have your device

There are several places to check that might show your device's serial or IMEI/MEID number.

  1. Go to your Apple ID account page (appleid.apple.com) in a web browser on your computer.
  2. Sign in with the Apple ID that you use on the device that you need the serial or IMEI/MEID of.
  3. Scroll down to the section called Devices. To see a device's serial and IMEI/MEID number, select that device.

Thanks for the message, but please read my question again. This device is NOT registered to my AppleID, and thus does not show up on my AppleID account Devices list.

It ONLY shows up on my iTunes associated devices list.
