USB Wireless HUD devices stop on MacBookPro13,2

I have similar but wholly different setups at home and work, and both experience the same problem.

At work I have a new Dell wireless keyboard and mouse transceiver. It plugs into a USB A to C adapter.

At home i have an older (~2y) dell wireless keyboard and mouse dongle. It plugs into my CableCreation USB-C expansion break out device.

So:

- the connection of transceiver to computer differs meaning it's not the USB-C adapter or the CableCreation break out box.

- Therefore it's either the Dell transceiver or the computer

- I have a Lenovo PC which also uses one of the the transceivers without issue. (The other is untested)

- Thus, the MacbookPro is  demonstrably at fault.

The primary fault I am describing is that the mouse or the keyboard randomly stops working. The fix is to remove and re-insert the transceiver. Bear in mind that the transceivers are different models as are the keyboards and mice.

There is a secondary fault as well. Sometimes keystrokes are skipped or duplicated. Often a key will be repeated 3 times. For example if I am typing 'just',  I'll get 'jjjust', or 'ust'. It is harder to prove the missing key (maybe I jsut hit it weird or there was RF interference) But it is very demonstrable and there is no reason why keys should be repeated.

Additionally, the home and work environments should be very different in their RF characteristics. One is a peaceful suburban home, the other is a busy office building, and the Lenovo works just fine with the transceiver in both.
