My MacBook Pro slowed down

Hello! I have a big problem with my mac: it slowed down (note it is a mid 2012 model).

I already cleaned the disk, corrected disk permissions, re-installed software ecc (in the past i tried mac cleaner BIG MISTAKE there are still traces in my mac) i don't want to use any mac cleaner anymore so what can I do? Would a full reset speed up?

A clean install would probably help indeed.

Make sure to backup your Mac first so that if something goes wrong you'll be able to revert to your current system.

Also, get some of your important files on an external hard drive (another one if you can).

When you've done all of this, proceed to clean install.

Erase your disk and then reinstall macOS using the recovery partition: How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support

Set the computer as new (don't use a Time Machine backup, so that you don't get all the bad you've accumulated overtime) and then manually move in your important files from your external drive and reinstall apps from the Mac App Store and other sources.

What caused the slowdown. Did it happen after installing software?

Try downloading and running Etrecheck https://etrecheck.com/ and posting the results here.

Maybe that will give some clues.

already done but no speedup

i ran it yeterday!!! no problems (i checked everything it said in the output)

But was it a full reset? (i.e erasing the disk & partition, reinstalling macOS and setting the Mac as new)
