Spyware

Is it possible to transfer spyware from USB stick to my Mac ?

The USB stick has a Spyware from a PC at work, I need the file but i dont want to transfer the spyware virus ?

any ideas ?

Almost anything can be transferred with an USB-stick. But nothing can be installed automatically that way: someone has to do the installation and know the password of the Mac. So he/she must have physical access to the Mac, enough time to do the installation and have a motive to do so.

Spyware always leaves traces by the way.
