How do i set FaceTime

How do i set FaceTime & iMessage on my laptop( Macbook air) it kept saying  apple id verification on my iPhone that pops up for my laptop but how do I put the code in on my laptop even if I try to put the code in the password it still doesn't work. Thanks

You need to type in the password followed by the code. No spaces. So, in the one field, you would type your password, and then the code immediately following the password.

For example, if your password is Password, and your code is 1234, you would type Password1234 in the password field.

I recently tried that for example the password was 700315 on my iPhone i typed the password on my laptop it still didn't work. Any other solution?
