Logic Remote Latency Issues

Hello,

First of all, I am using the latest versions of all OS X and iOS software.

When I am using Logic Remote with Logic Pro X, I experience obvious latency issues. Can I fix that somehow? Is there a way to use Logic Remote over USB connection like Touchable or ChordPolyPad, etc.

Thanks!

Ivica

You can try using an Ad Hoc/Peer to Peer network to reduce latency,,,,

Or...

You can use Bluetooth.....

Note: Im not having any issues with any noticeable latency here using LR with my Mac over WiFi so it's likely the latency is coming from your own WiFi network... hence the suggestion you use an Ad Hoc/Peer to Peer solution or Bluetooth, to reduce/resolve this...

Everyone, so this is such a common question and i never see the proper answer. When using an instrument, The latency you are getting is from your logic settings. You MUST put it into "low latency" mode, and then MUST put it to the lowest buffer setting "IO buffer size 32." this will give you almost zero latency. This procedure is a general rule for recording most anything live. Of course this is just for tracking. A buffer size that small will pop and click on playback or mixing. of course a larger buffer size is fine for using the mixer controls. Most all latency issues from using remote aren't from WIFI, its from logic.
