Change Apple ID for Messages

I am trying to sign in to messages on my iPad with a different Apple ID than I use for my other iCloud applications, but the new iOS (11.0.2) is not letting me change it in the Messages settings. I had this set up before I updated, but now it is gone. Any ideas on how to resolve this?
