Apple sells us apps; now apps are "bloat"?

i find this hard to believe, but removing iPhone/iPad/Watch apps from iTunes without letting the users know is too much. I expect this from Washington, not Cupertino.

I spent half a day with your iTunes support team who were little help to me - not because they are inefficient, but because they had no idea what the release teams had done after the keynote address. The first person was explaining that she saw apps in iTunes (she still had 12.6.2) and didn't know 12.7 was out. Her supervisor knew about 12.7 and was trying to give me all the good things, but admitted he had no training on the new version.

When I asked why this had happened, I was told that iTunes was too bloated and it was being streamlines. But there are no plans for a separate app to facilitate transfer of information and vie between an iOS device and an OS X device. Things came to a head when he told me i should be upgrading everything - my 1998 MacBook (which works just fine) and my iPhone 5c (ditto) - so i can take full benefit of Sierra and the upcoming iOS 11 since iTunes 12.7 was made for iOS 11 (and you're releasing it before the system is available?). He also told me that there was no way to remove 12.7 and replace it with the older 12.6.2 without damaging my system software.

I have a workflow with apps for my devices that had been in place since my first iPod Touch. i like the fact that i can easily move items from one place to another. Now that's gone in 12.7.

i seriously hope it returns in 12.7.1.
