Cracked my iPad Pro Screen

So somehow I have an internal crack on my iPad Pro 12.9 1st Gen screen. I have an appointment for apple in store repair. I have applecare+. So my question is, will they replace the screen IN STORE, or replace the device IN STORE? Or will they send it off? I can't leave without it. I use it for my work.

If you use the express replacement option, Apple will send you an iPad first, and then you'll send your iPad to Apple so you won't have to be without an iPad at all.  iPad Screen Damage - Official Apple Support

Apple will, for a $49 replacement fee, issue you a replacement, refurbished iPad of the same model you have now.

Apple Stores do not repair iPads.

The Apple Stores, send damaged iPads back to Apple where they are repaired, given a new screen, battery and back panel and resold as Apple certified refurbished products.

This is what you'll receive.

It's Apple's way to expedite quick customer service and satisfaction.

So, you should leave the store with a good as new warrantied, refurbished 12.9 iPad Pro for a $49 replacement fee.

This must be a new policy.

Apple WAS issuing refurbished iPads for the $49 replacement fee, at some earlier point.

Apple must have just recently changed their policies on this.

I don't have time for one to be shipped to me.

I hope this is true. I can't imagine them having a ton of 1st gen iPad pros on site to give out. :/
