Is it normal for the progress bar to appear aft...

My hard drive was replaced with a new one last month and I have a:

-MacBook Air 11inch Early 2014

-MacOS Sierra (10.12.6)

Overtime I login the progress bar appears for about 10 seconds. This only happens when the laptop has been shutdown, not after it's been put to sleep.

Is it normal for the progress bar to appear every time after login? Particularly right after the hard drive has been replaced for a new one with only 20/120 GB used?

Other than that my laptop runs smoothly.
