Apple Hardware Test 4mem/62/40000000 0x779ea390

Hey! I've had problems with my fps when I played some types of games so I decided to do an Apple Hardware Test. I received an error message and wondered what my error message means. My error message is 4mem / 62/40000000 0x779ea390

MacBook Pro Retina mid 2012

It's a memory error. It means either you have bad RAM or your RAM isn't seated properly. Be sure your RAM is seated well in the slots. If you've added RAM pull it out and check with the original RAM in place.

Your MacBook Pro model does not have RAM slots; the RAM is integral with the logic board. This is not a user-serviceable situation. You will need to have Apple evaluate--a new logic board may be required.

I would not delay. Apple can opt not to work on a computer that has been out of production for more than five years†. The 15-inch 2012 MBPR went out of production in Feb 2013 so its clock runs out next February.

Thanks Allan, thought it was user a upgradeable model.
