Dead magic mouse 2

My Magic Mouse 2 does not accept charge.

I've tried different cables and both connecting it to my iMac and connecting to an Apple phone charger. Neither work. can it be revived?

It has a 1 year warranty, take it to your local Apple Store or AASP and exchange it for a replacement.

And if you connect it to a mains outlet?

Have you examined the cable for signs of damage. 

I usually use the same cable that I use for charging and syncing my iPhone and I've also tried a different cable with with an Apple branded mains (iPhone) charger.

Then get it back to your local Apple store.   Providing it is less than 12 months old it is still under warranty.   Be sure to take the cable with you.
