which laptop has the best battery life?

I currently have a 2013 13" MacBook Air. I want to be able to get on a plane, and do work (mostly Word, Mail, Photoshop) for as long as possible without needing power (transatlantic flight). I don't need it to be blazing fast, but I don't care so much about weight. What am I looking for - do the Airs have the best battery life? I guess the regular Macbook Pros have more space for a battery but probably more demands on power too. Which type of model is best for maximizing battery life?

On a related note, is it possible to put a new (better?) battery into my existing Air, or else, is there any procedure to revitalize a battery (even a little)?
