mDNSResponder originating from Private Network
Hello,
I've noticed that a process called mDNSResponder has incoming traffic from 17 different IPv4 addresses originating from a Private Network and outbound traffic from 8 different IPv4 addresses going to an unknown location. I read that "the macOS Bonjour technology uses the multicast Domain Name System Responder to easily find and communicate with other devices such as other Macs, iOS devices or printers on the local network." Does this mean that I'm receiving traffic from other devices on my network? And sending traffic to an Unknown location? I was under the impression that there weren't even close to that many devices on my local network. Can someone please help to to understand how/why this is happening?
