Mac goes off whenever I open Adobe PS and doesn...

This is a two part question/problem.

1. Whenever I open Adobe PS my MacBook Pro 2011 goes off after designing for a little bit without warning.
2. After it goes off it takes it either restarts without any problems or takes several tries to come back one. These tries involve getting different colored screens (green, blue, purple, a mix of green and purple and a white screen with black horizontal bars.) The chime can also be repetitive or not played at all on occasions.

4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

ntel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB

macOS Sierra version 10.12.6
