Dead iPad Air 2

I have a fairly new iPad Air 2. While on vacation my charger broke and the iPad battery drained out and it died. When I got home I charged it fully but ever since than my iPad is stuck on recovery mode I guess. The screen is plain black and unresponsive. I’ve been trying to work it out for a while now. It does not respond at all unless it is connected to power. Nothing. Once connected to power I get a black screen with the Apple logo flashing. Trying to hard reset it I’ve managed to get to the “connect to iTunes” screen but it disappears one I disconnect it from power to try and connect to my pc. After that, The only way to get the computer to detect the iPad is if I put it on dfu mode. Then I restore it and it goes through the entire process only to show an error message at the end after “waiting for the iPad” for a solid ten mines. Nothing works. I should also point out that there is no indication that the device is even charging when connected to power. Only a flashing logo or the iTunes screen if I try to hard reset it. I’ve tried multiple computers, the original cable only, I’ve let it rest and I’ve been trying over and over all of the solutions I could find online. Anyone with an answer? 

Did you use the SAME cable in all situations? In that case, try a different cable.

charge your ipad for some time.

 

press power and home button simultaneously, until apple logo shows. keep pressing both buttons even longer without releasing them, until connect to itunes screen appears.

 

connect to itunes on computer and try to restore, either from your backup or as new. make sure the USB out is high power in order to actually charge your ipad (some have not enough power).

 

and yes, trying another (certified) cable is a good idea, too.

I do use a certified cable actually, an iPad one from my dads iPad box. The wall adapter is also certified. The problem is when I disconnect it from the charger, the Apple logo does not turn up no matter how long I press and hold whatever. Absoloutly no response when not connected to power.

Tried a couple of them and ended up with a new iPad cable from my dad. A new certified cable and still no success.
