liner notes

What happened to the liner notes I have carefully saved as pdf files within each of my albums in iTunes?

I opened up iTunes this evening and a new version was launched on my MacBook Pro laptop.  The new iTunes is version 12.7.0.166.

I'm running MacOS Sierra version 10.12.6

I was able tonight to successfully add the liner notes to my iTunes library and identify the liner notes as belonging to a new album I imported from a CD by identifying the album artist and the album name in the track info.  But then it disappeared.  It is not listed as the last track of the album like it would have been the last time I opened iTunes.  It is invisible to me, as are all of the other liner note pdf's for all my other albums.  Where did they go and how do I make them reappear under the list of tracks as before?
