Split screen not working for IPad Air 2
I updated my IPad Air 2 and I am able to do the Slide Over feature, but from there I cannot pull it over and turn it into a split screen. My bf has the same iPad and I upgraded his and it works just fine. Not sure what to do about this.
Nevermind. It didn't work literally all day, but as soon as I posted this I went to go try it again and the little white bar showed...

I Have updated my iPad Air 2 but my split view feature is not working. I have restarted iPad but still it's the same. Please help me with this.
Mahesh.
Go to the Settings app -> General -> Multitasking. Make sure Allow Multiple Apps is turned on (the switch should be green). For picture-in-picture, the switched labeled Persistent Video Overlay should be on as well.
Same problem resolved by powering iPad off, then on again!
Restarting worked for me as well
This is also happening to me. I did all steps in settings, reset and got the split screen to work. I tried the video and it would not work. The the split screen stopped working. I did all steps again and reset, split screen and video are still not working. Slide over continues to work. Help.
This was happening to me too with my iPad Air 2 and I think I've figured out why. With slide-over, any app can be the primary app (the one that takes up most of the screen). but only apps that are multitask-capable will show up in the slide-over panel (which at this time are mostly only some built-in iOS apps). However for split screen to be available, *both* apps have to be multitask-capable. For instance, if you have Safari open full screen and then you slide in Calendar, you can then go to split screen. But if you have Facebook open and then you slide in Calendar, you can't go to split screen - because Facebook is a non-Apple app which hasn't yet been updated to work with split screen.
As developers update their apps to work with multitasking, this problem should go away.
To put this more simply - pretty sure you can't do split screen unless both apps have been updated to handle split screen. Otherwise you'll only be able to do slide-over. So right now because split screen is a new feature, a lot of apps (even some standard Apple apps) haven't been updated to handle it yet.
I've rebooted and checked everything, still not working. Using safari in back ground and trying to use one from list on right, but no split screen line. Any other suggestions?
It should work, assuming you have an iPad Air 2, and in Settings > General > Multitasking you have Allow Multiple Apps turned on. But I've been running into a lot of random bugs in iOS 9 so so knows...
AS you can see from the images, the bar is missing and multitasking is enabled.
Once slide over is enabled, pull towards the left again and the bar will appear.
I Got the same problem.. I did all stepd...continues to not work...
i think this feature (split screen ) just working when you do web browsing with safari ! but i don't know why !
