Managing TV/Movie content

So, since the change to iTunes I can no longer see at a glance which movie and TV content is unwatched.

I use itunes to manage the content for my kids Apple TVs and previously, the badges on the shows allowed me to see at a glance what had been watched - without having to click on each show individually. It seems I'm now going to have to click into each of the 40 plus shows to see whats been watched so that I can remove it?

How are changes that make managing you content more difficult considered positive?

Is there a way to re-enable to unwatched badges?
