deceased fathers ipod transfer his music

I would like to combine my itunes music and my fathers ipod music into my itunes account on my Apple iMac computer.  I would like both libraries on  my fathers ipod.  His ipod was set up on a PC computer and my account is on my iMac Apple computer.  I can not open my fathers ipod using his user ID and password on my Apple computer.  I'm stuck and do not know how to proceed.
