Create ultrabeat drum roll with pitch bend

I have a drum roll using an Ultrabeat snare and would love to implement two variations of the pitch bend on the notes on the piano roll, but when I do, the sound is not responding. Where am I going wrong, and what can I do to achieve the desired effect? Please break it down and possibly add images.
