Force Touch & Push Alerts Not Working Consi...

I've upgraded my iPhone 6 to iOS 11 and my Watch 2 to WatchOS 4.  Since then force touch to get to options in the Gymaholic workout app don't always register.  I'm not sure if this is an issue with WatchOS 4 or the app - both have just been upgraded.

I'm also having a problem with my morning wakeup alarm.  For the last 6 months I've set a vibrate only alarm on my iPhone to wake me up every morning.  While the iPhone vibration doesn't wake me, I had "Push Alerts from iPhone" set to "ON" in the clock settings of the Watch app on the iPhone, which caused the watch to vibrate and that DID wake me.  I was also able to silence or snooze the alarm on the watch.  Since upgrading the watch and phone this hasn't been working.  If I reboot both the phone and watch and set an alarm for a few minutes away, I get the notification on my Watch like I always did.  However, the last two mornings the watch has failed to vibrate for the alarm.  I have fortunately been semi-awake both mornings and DID notice the phone vibrating on the night stand.   So I know the alarm was set correctly but simply didn't push through to the watch.  But rebooting both had it working again.  So whatever the bug is, isn't consistent or perhaps after some period of time stops working.  I think I can set an alarm on the watch directly, but nevertheless, this isn't working as Apple designed.
