incorrect password for app store.

I've recently recovered my account for iCloud, i'm not attempting to download macos sierra but it's telling me my new password i've created for my iCloud account is incorrect and wants me to recover my account again. How do I bypass this account recovery and turn off the setting where it asks for a password for downloads on my Macbook?

Do you have more than one Apple ID? Regardless, log out of your ID from the App Store on your Mac Book, and then, log in with your new ID/password.
