Apple ID not working with Itunes

My Apple ID works fine on all my devices—except for iTunes. When I plug in my iPad and open iTunes, it rejects my login information (the same information I used to log into this forum, without problems).

   If it is any help, clicking on the option for iTunes to open automatically on my PC when I plug in the iPad, I always have to do it manually.
