How Do I Mark Mail NOT JUNK in macOS Sierra?
In some previous OS, when viewing mail marked in the brown Junk tint, I'd just highlight all those that were NOT JUNK and click the Not Junk button. Done.
In macOS Sierra, there is no button in the Mail tool bar, nor an option to customize it with one. Now, when Mail goes berserk and starts marking good mail as Junk Mail, I have to tediously open every single email and click the Not Junk button in each email.
Who's bright idea was it to make Mail both less reliable and more tedious to use? That Not Junk button should be in the menu bar or at the very least available from the Customize Toolbar option.
I've sent my complaint to Apple Feedback. In the meantime, is there any other way to mark email that never should have been tagged as Junk, as Not Junk, other than opening it?
On my Mac, running Sierra and previous OSes, the Junk button changes to Not Junk when I select one or more Junk emails. Even the icon changes so that the arrow on the trash can goes up instead of down, to show the emails going out of the trash can.

The button is still in the same place, but it has a different icon. kind of a trash can with an x in it.
Also, in a message, "Move to Inbox" is the "Not Junk" button.
This is not true for me.
I don't have an option to "move to inbox," except up in the menu bar, scroll down, scroll over, choose an inbox, tap that... too many steps.
Like in most Cocoa applications that have a toolbar, there is a Customize Toolbar command. By running it yu can drag the button you are missing.
The easiest method is to just drag and drop on your inbox.
I agree that dragging directly to the inbox is the easiest, but if you prefer the junk/not junk button, here is in greater detail how to regain it:
1) View->Customize Toolbar...
You get this:
As it says in the picture, click and drag inside the rectangle below "...or drag the default set..." and drop it on the window toolbar area. Done. You now have the junk/not junk button back.
It may say that on your machine but it certainly does not offer a junk option on my MBP.
Recently I have been getting ASC mails as junk about a dozen times a day. And this is from a mail system that is supposed to learn. A mail system that handles about two hundred Apple mails a day.
