itunes library to new computer

Hi !

have a bit of a problemo/issue with itunes :

just upgraded computers - on old computer i have been systematically altering the start & stop times on songs to avoid the 'silence' at the start & end of songs.

Transferred all songs to new computer & new computer/itunes doesn't recognize the alterations i have made to songs - quite annoying when at a guess i would have 'fixed up' between 1,000-2,000 songs over the last few years !

is there any way to get itunes to recognize the new start/stop times from the old computer ?

i'd hate to have to trim all the songs again, then have to do it again if & when i get a new computer years down the track !

help please !!!!!!!!!!
