Why does sharing between Macs work only tempora...

I have two Macs. After rebooting my Macbook Pro, I can see the shared Safari icon on my iMac and can also copy/paste text between each Mac. But this all goes away after about a day. So I use a text file saved in iCloud to share links and text between these Macs.

Until I reboot the Macbook, I can't share anything using Apple's built sharing. Any one know of a fix for this?
