Purchased ringtones missing from iPhone and iTunes
Hi, I had purchased some ringtones from iTunes stores on my iPhone and a couple of them have disappeared since I upgraded to iOS 5. These ringtones show up in my purchase history under My Account on iTunes Store but they do not show up either on the iTunes Store "Purchased" list or on my iPhone. Can someone please let me know how I can get these ringtones back? Thanks a lot.

after you have upgraded to iOS5
after you have synced the devices.. it can be found on your phone.. go to settings/sounds/ringtone they should all be on top of the defaulted ringtones on your iphone...
I am having the same issue. I have done the upgrade to iOS5, I have synced my devices (about 3 times now) and it is still not showing up on my iPhone. I have even researched for these ringtones in the store as the User Guide has suggested and it is asking me to re-purchase these ringtones over again.
See is this Discussion offers any enlightenment...
This worked! Thank you

You're Welcome...
My ringtones are gone from both my iPhone and iTunes. The ringtone section is empty. I went to buy a ringtone again (hoping to download again), and iTunes claimed that I had purchased it already and asked me if I want to buy it again. I don't want to buy them all again. Where do I find them?
Have you had any luck. My Dad called me today and it played the Marimba. I checked after the call and discovered ALL my ringtones are missing and then looked on iTunes and they are gone there too. Everyone had a different ringtone. I have purchased over 50 tones. I went to do the same thing, thinking I could download it again and iTunes said I had already purchased this tone and did I want to purchase it again. Now what, another $100 on the same ringtones. This all happened after the recent iTunes upgrade NOT the iOS upgrade to 6.1.3 however, I noticed that it used to offer me the choice to use a song as a ringtone and that option is now gone.
I am hoping you have had luck because none of the tones are showing in my purchases but then neither are the many albums and singles I have purchased.
Thanks and good luck to all of us with the same problem - googling Missing ringtones with the iTunes update numbers or the iOS numbers brought 800+ similar complaints
I had a similar problem. I purchased two ringtones and they worked just fine at first... Then I had to reboot my iPhone for something and the next thing I know, they are no longer available or visible. I scoured the internet and found a solution (finally) that worked for me... The key is to NOT download them directly to your iPhone. Rather, download them to your iTunes library first, then sync them to your iPhone...
1. In iTunes go to Store --> View Account (You'll be prompted for your password)
2. Scroll down to "Purchase History" click on "See All"
3. Click on the arrow next to the ringtone purchase (left side)
4. Click on Report a Problem - You will be taken to the problem report site for that purchase and you will be required to log in.
5. Select the tone you want to report the problem with and select "Song did not download..." (or whatever the problem report is similar to that).
6. Fill in the description and submit.
7. Repeat for any other purchased tones
After that you can go into iTunes and click on "Store" and click on "Check for downloads"
You'll now have them in your iTunes library and you can then sync them to your iPhone...
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Steve
That was the solution. Thank You.

My ringtone is missing
If you've updated to iOS 11, and if it's an iTunes purchased tone that is still in the store and if you haven't moved countries since buying it, see half-way down this page : Use tones on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
