How to set the default audio output on macbook ...
I have a 15-inch Macbook pro with touchbar. My current default setup is my computer in clamshell mode connected to external monitors and with an aux cord in the 3.5mm jack. Whenever I come back to my desk after a little bit of time, the sound either defaults to a connection with no output or the built-in speakers in my monitor. To fix this, each time I unplug and plug back in the 3.5mm cord. Can I avoid this by setting the universal default audio output to the 3.5mm jack?
Hi,
That shouldn't happen. Try resetting the NVRAM: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063.
