Computer slower, time wrong

Hi, my Macbook Pro, 16 gb RAM, continues to act slower than usual. The fan will start humming even if I play a YouTube video or watch Netflix. Also, whenever I wake the computer after a long sleep cycle, it will display the wrong time. In any other case, I would write this off as the wrong time being the time I last used the laptop. However, the time instead shows odd hours in the morning when I was fast asleep. Is someone activating my computer remotely? I also noticed odd processes in my activity monitor, such as EscrowSecurityAlert. Is this good reason to be paranoid?
