iCloud Photos downloading more items than it sh...

According to iCloud (web), I have less than 22K items in "All Photos".

However, iCloud Photos for Windows is downloading over 96K items for the same account:

The only thing I can think of is that the button "Download Photos" has been clicked multiple times generating multiple "download jobs" adding up to the total items being downloaded. Target directory shows multiple 2017 folders (Ex: 2017, 2017 (1), 2017 (2), etc.) that seem to contain the same set of files.

- Is anyone experiencing this?

- Why is the same file being downloaded more than once?

- Is there a way to cancel these "download jobs" and start fresh?

A number of people have reported this on the windows side of things.
