..  has been disabled says connect to ITun...

When I picked up iPad, b4 even trying passcode it was saying disabled . Put in passcode, worked, no problem. Next day when I applied code for the first time,   not the normal amount of times allowed b4 disabled connect to ITunes appeared. Could my passcode been changed by a hacker or would my device have to be right in some ones hands for my passcode to of been changed? And y won’t it allow to hook to ITunes on my Mac?
