iTunes crashing system during sleep

It seems that my iTunes is crashing my system when it is in sleep. My iTunes Library is on an external RAID device for its larger than 1TB that came with my iMac.

This is what I get in the logs:

Oct  4 16:20:19 iMac iTunesHelper[593]: Entered:_AMMuxedDeviceDisconnected, mux-device:88

Oct  4 16:20:19 iMac iTunes[400]: Entered:_AMMuxedDeviceDisconnected, mux-device:88

Oct  4 16:20:19 iMac iTunesHelper[593]: Entered:__thr_AMMuxedDeviceDisconnected, mux-device:88

Oct  4 16:20:19 iMac iTunesHelper[593]: tid:771b - Mux ID not found in mapping dictionary

Oct  4 16:20:19 iMac iTunesHelper[593]: tid:771b - Can't handle disconnect with invalid ecid

Oct  4 16:20:19 iMac iTunes[400]: Entered:__thr_AMMuxedDeviceDisconnected, mux-device:88

Oct  4 16:20:19 iMac iTunes[400]: tid:1f27f - Mux ID not found in mapping dictionary

Oct  4 16:20:19 iMac iTunes[400]: tid:1f27f - Can't handle disconnect with invalid ecid

Heavily repeated in that sequence about 50 times before the iMac just stops responding to all actions when I attempt to wake it up again. I have to physically unplug the iMac for 10 seconds and then plug it back in for it to respond to the power button. (SMC has been reset to verify power mgmt is not the issue)
