Apple Music won’t play

I am in South Africa logged in with a South African account. After mthe update to 11 when I play my music I get an error that helps no-one”This Apple ID is only valid for use in the South African store”   It’s then the song pauses.

I have logged in to my phone before with a US account of someone else. Don’t know if this will do this. But why now why after 11. Very frustrating. It’s like my music is locked thinking I’m in the US.
