My 1st gen apple watch screen had popped open then a few months later it got so hot that it almost burned my skin. I read online about Apple extending its battery warranty for the 1st gen watch. I called and after some research the customer service rep was able to find the policy change and is having me send in the watch for a replacement battery and or a replacement watch. I am pretty sure it will need to be replaced becuz after the extreme heat the screen no longer works. The battery was so hot it felt like it would explode.
