2011 MacBook Pro vs 2012 MacBook Pro?

I have recently bought an early 2011 MacBook Pro, and it's alright and in very good condition but there are some things that annoy me. Like I originally wanted a 2012 model, but me being an idiot and the guy who sold me this being a good business man I ended up buying the 2011 one for £400, upgrading the RAM to 8GB for £25 and upgrading the HDD to a Samsung EVO 850 SSD for £55.  When I exit YouTube full screen mode ,there is a lag of maybe a second or two for which I see the desktop and only then it goes back to the browser, sometimes things freeze for a bit, the USB 2.0 ports are really not the greatest if I want something fast, and I just feel that I would be better off buying a 2012 one, even if I had to sell my 2011 model at a loss and pay extra for a 2012 one. What do you think? Should I sell it and buy the 2012 one or is it not worth it?
