Dock icons disappear?

Hi,

After I've updated my Macbook Pro 2015 to MacOS High Sierra I keep losing my dock icons. I tried resetting the dock and restore it to default, but problem stays

Whenever I open an application for example Safari, and close it after a while, the icon just simply disappears. Just as shown in the screenshot below, the arrow on the left is supposed to be Safari, and the one on the right is supposed to be Skype.

Does anyone knows how to fix this?
