I added a payment method but it still won’...

Can’t set up family sharing

What happens when you try to set it up ? If you are getting an error message what does it say ?

It says “payment method required” which I did set up but I still get the error message.

The card was accepted without any errors and shows on the account ? Have you tried logging out and back into the account ?

I logged out and in, still getting an error. Does it have to be a card because I set up Paypal. I got the verification code etc.
