Help me understand LTE use, please :)

Hi

I understand that the LTE W3 will default Bluetooth>WIFI>Cellular to preserve battery.  Does know without doubt that while the watch has a bluetooth connection to my phone, cellular and WIFI are completely turned off by the OS until the bluetooth signal drops?

I really want to get one, and I know I've read enough to convince me that any WIFI or cellular radiation is in the non-ionising spectrum, but I'd be happier still if the only thing broadcasting whilst within range of my phone is Bluetooth?

You can talk to me all you like about background levels of radiation from the sun or anywhere else, but I'd still rather not have a cellular device strapped to me 24/7.  I'm aware I could turn it off and only turn it on when needed, but if the opening paragraph is true then Apple are already ahead of me.
