My best solution?

I'm a person who has been online with computers since before the internet. I use my home computer a bunch. Forget the last time I watched TV. Haven't been interested in smart phones. Use cell very little.

I mostly use the internet for entertainment, news, youtube, banking, learning. I love learning, always.

Now all that is going to change. I'm going to become an over the road truck driver.

I'm trying to figure out my best solution for in my truck.

I require as small as possible. Very limited room in that truck 'condo'.

I want to be able to use cell service for security....banking...etc.

I want to be able to sync with my home computer to get the passwords, bookmarks, etc.

Whatever I get, it needs to be able to take a sim chip. For the cell provider.

I've had a few Mac's. Right now I'm running a mini mac at home.

Not sure about iOS versus OS. ??? Might go with a laptop? Obviously considering a pad.

Considered an iPhone and just link to computer. Considered an iMac....but don't think it would take riding in the truck that well....also taking up room?

I'm willing to buy anything. What would be my best solution? Looking for thoughts, suggestions.

Forgot to mention....

I need to be able to use my disc drive with it. I have a few important CD's.

Thought of just bringing my mini mac on the truck? Just get a good iPhone. Use it to connect to cell service?

If so... could use an older iPhone?

Still..... this uses room. I know an iPad would use less room.

Room is at a premium in those trucks.
