account balance did not update

After scanning gift card with iPhone 7+ camera and seeing the account balance update correctly, I left iTunes.

When iTunes was launched again, it was showing the OLD balance.

Am I correct in just leaving an email with Support?

It says to allow 48 hours for a reply.

Never have had this happen before last night.

Oh, and of course, when I try to rescan the card, the system says it's been used.
